NOTES We are all very keen to know what happened to you since you left your Part 2 establishment, so please give us a bit of background.	Joined RN at Raleigh as Jnr Sea 2nd Class in Sep 1962. Kept being told that as I had some 'O'Levels that I should be a Tiff! I just wanted to get to sea! Was persuaded to take the aptitude tests etc. but it would still be my decision to transfer. Thought no more about it until as I collected my station card on return from Xmas leave I was told to report to the Master at Arms. He said heres a draft chit for you to Fisgard. But I don't want to go says I. A Draft Chit is a Draft Chit says he! So off I go. I was in the accelerated stream so all factory and no school. Really enjoyed the factory, but couldn't stand some of the 'public school' type bullying so transferred back to Raleigh at the end of the second term. Became an RP and was sent to AJAX. Became an UY candidate so had to leave AJAX as she was destined for the Far East. Sent to UNDAUNTED (Hammocks!) Dartmouth in 1964. IVESTON (for the mutiny!) Flying training in 1970 845 Sqn (Wessex) Lee SAR (Whirlwind!) BERWICK (Wasp) APOLLO (Wasp) Lee SAR (Wessex) JATE Brize Norton Left in Mar 1983 as Lt Cdr. Took up Civvie helicopter flying (Corporate/Charter) then 15 years flying police helicopters in the Thames Valley until I was 60 in May 2006.(When single pilot public transport is no longer allowed) Since then scrape a living mainly sitting in Mr rich mans left hand seat making sure he doesn't kill himself/me. Also manage some maintenance test flying for McAlpine the Eurocopter distributor. Married with two kids boy just finished his basic helicopter course at Shawbury now holding over before going to fly Merlins at Culdrose girl just started university .
